CIArb Reception at the 21st ICCA Congress in Singapore on 10 June 2012
The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the CIArb Singapore Branch are hosting a Grand High Tea Reception on Sunday 10 June 2012 from 3pm to 5.30pm, prior to the official opening ceremony of ICCA. Registered participants of ICCA as well as CIArb members are warmly invited to this Reception. (FREE OF CHARGE).
The Right Honourable Lord Saville of Newdigate PC QC will be a special guest speaker at the Reception and will speak on "The English Arbitration Act 1996 - 15 years on".
Courtesy buses will be provided to transport ICCA participants from the Marina Bay Sands to the Reception venue and to return to the Marina Bay Sands, leaving the venue at 5pm to return in time for the Opening Ceremony of ICCA at 6pm.

Accelerated Route to Fellowship Workshop on 7-8 June 2012 in Singapore
The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Singapore Branch) is holding an Accelerated Route to Fellowship (International Arbitration) workshop.
The Accelerated Route to Fellowship aims to provide a fast-track route to Fellowship through the international arbitration pathway. Fellowship is a mark of excellence for arbitrators from which, having gained relevant experience, an arbitrator may progress to become Chartered Arbitrator.
Lord Saville will give a special guest lecture on Arbitration and the Courts.
ICCA 2012 registered participants will enjoy special rates for this workshop.

Peer Interview For Fellowship on 9 June 2012
The CIArb Byelaws require that candidates wishing to become a Fellow must undergo a Peer Interview. Fellowship is a grade of membership and not a practice qualification.
Who is eligible to attend a Peer Interview? 1. Members who have passed (or been exempt from) the Part III Examinations, including Award Writing. 2. Members who have passed the Accelerated Fellowship Programme, including Award Writing.
Objective of the Interview is to enable the candidate to demonstrate: • An understanding and appreciation of the workings of CIArb and, where relevant, the Branch and of how the new Fellow can contribute. • An understanding and appreciation of the objectives of CIArb and where relevant, the Branch. • An understanding and appreciation of CIArb’s Code of Professional and Ethical Conduct and its application.
